As part of our international strategy, the University has established regional offices in India, China and Brussels to maintain partnerships with local providers, continue our relationships with our alumni in their own country, further consolidate research collaboration, and provide local services to those students who apply to study at Birmingham.
Brussels
Our Brussels Office facilitates and feeds into European policy debates and the development of Programmes. To achieve this, the Brussels Office is actively involved in -
-
establishing personal working relationships between our academics and the people in Brussels
-
organising academic symposia and networking events in Brussels as fora to exchange thoughts on the latest scientific, technological and social-cultural developments.
-
communicating widely the results from the research we undertake single-handedly and with our research collaborators.
The Office also provides a space where undergraduate student delegations can stay, academic staff and PhD students can do field research, and academic collaborators can develop networks. It offers excellent facilities and equipment for these activities including meeting spaces with up to 120 seats, hot-desking, Wifi and teleconferencing equipment.
