The Science City Research Alliance (SCRA) returned to exhibit for a second year at the Low Carbon Vehicle Event which was held on Wednesday 5th & Thursday 6th September 2012 at Millbrook Proving Ground, Millbrook, Bedfordshire.
The event was hosted for a 5th year by Cenex, the UK's first centre of excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies. Highlights at the exhibition included:
A low and ultra low carbon vehicle and technology exhibition showcasing the innovative R&D from the UK's leading automotive technology companies and universitie
A low carbon vehicle ride & drive where customers and international VIP’s experience driving the latest low and ultra low carbon vehicles
A Conference and Technical Seminar Programme run in parallel over the two days of the event
A Business Exchange where visitors have the opportunity to book meetings and interact with UK and International Visitors.
Exhibitors and visitors were from a range of themes within the automotive sector such as vehicle manufacturers, the low carbon vehicle supply chain, alternative fuel manufacturers and light weight vehicle structure producers. The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the SCRA project and make contact with companies with a general interest in materials, energy and hydrogen.
SCRA is a strategic research partnership between two of the leading research universities in the Midlands, the University of Birmingham and the University of Warwick. Working across the technology areas of Advanced Materials, Energy Futures and Translational Medicine the principal aim of SCRA is to engage with business and industry - giving access to the latest research and state-of-the-art equipment in science and technology.
