Posters and Presentations

As part of the agenda for the 2017 conference there is an opportunity for a limited number of associates to deliver poster presentations or short oral presentations. A small discount on the registration fee is offered for associates who are delivering posters or presentations.

The deadline for the submission of posters and presentations is Friday 19th May 2017.

Poster Presentations/Competition

Associates who would like to deliver a poster presentation should select Rate B: 'Discount 1 (Posters)' when registering to attend the conference. Please note there are a maximum of 30 spaces available for poster presentations.

The aim of the poster presentations is for associates to represent their project as a compelling example of the three-way benefit generated in undertaking a KTP to the company, university and associate.

Posters will be judged in two categories Early to Mid-stage Projects and Established Projects with a prize for the best poster in each category.

A detailed poster brief/poster guidelines are available here.

Poster abstracts need to be submitted by the 28th April. Once you have registered to deliver a poster you will be sent a link to the abstract submission form.

Completed posters should be submitted to ktpa2017@contacts.bham.ac.uk by the 19th May, ensuring they meet the A1 poster guidelines.

Please note:

  • Posters should be based around the benefits of project and not solely on detailed technical information.
  • Posters will be printed in A1 (by the organising team).

Oral Presentations

Associates who would like to deliver an oral presentation should select Rate C: 'Discount 2 (Presenters)' when registering to attend the conference. Please note there are a maximum of 10 places available for presentations.

The purpose of the presentations is to give associates an opportunity to provide an overview of the benefits of the KTP format for their project. Therefore, presentations should NOT focus on the technicalities of a specific project but on KTP specific outcomes, i.e. the benefits the KTP structure has brought to your project.

Presentations should be a maximum of 10 minutes and visual aids can be used.

A more detailed presentation guide is available here.

Presentation abstracts need to be submitted by the 28th April. Once you have registered to deliver a presentation you will be sent a link to the abstract submission form.

Presentation slides must be submitted to ktpa2017@contacts.bham.ac.uk by Friday 19th May. Slides should be submitted as a PowerPoint file.
