The module will include practice in listening and watching audiovisual materials from Russian TV and other sources followed by discussion of their content; discussion on academic topics related to research and practice for interviews with Russian academics; practice in making presentations on topics related to research; practice in conducting field interviews – preparation of questions, understanding and responding to replies.
Course Aims to acquire language proficiency adequate for active use in field research and communication with Russian specialists in their fields.
- Two assignments each semester (50%)
- Oral exam consisting of oral presentation on research and practice interview (50%)
This course is available only to postgraduates who have completed the module: Graduate Ab Initio Russian II (Intermediate) or have a knowledge of Russian equivalent to this.
