Module Overview

This module is an introduction to the fundamentals of Toxicology including toxicokinetics, types of toxic response and factors affecting the assessment of toxicological properties of substances. Also covered are regulatory aspects (COSHH, CHIP regulations) and the use of toxicological data to establish occupational exposure limits (OELS). Toxicological aspects of specific diseases (carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicology and neurotoxicology) are also discussed.
