Periodontology in Practice

Classification & recognition of periodontal diseases; Natural history of adult periodontitis and diagnostic issues; Risk factors/markers/patients for periodontitis; Actiology and pathogenesis of periodontitis (microbial and inflammatory-immune factors); Investigation and treatment planning of periodontitis patients; Non-surgical management of periodontitis with Gracey area-specific curettes – including healing; The use/abuse of antimicrobials in periodontology; Surgical management of periodontal problems; Periodontal diseases and systemic diseases; Working with a Dental Hygienist/Therapist.
