Social Policy Subject Talk

The talk will provide an introduction and outline of the different programmes and modules available through the Social Policy Subject group postgraduate taught programmes. The Social Policy subject group is in the Institute of Applied Social Studies and the School of Social Policy. The School of Social Policy hosts the ESRC funded Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC); is a partner in the interdisciplinary  Centre on Household Assets and Savings Management (CHASM) and the Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRiS).

Research activities are organised into four Research Groups:

- Global Community 

- Families, Policy and Professional Practice

- Wealth and Welfare 

- Health and Social Wellbeing

Our research and teaching covers a range of issues including: politics of social policy; governance and management of social policy, social research methods; poverty and social exclusion; social care; mental health and wellbeing; migration, diversity and housing.
