This event brings current and new postgraduate researchers together to share tips, advice and discussions about postgraduate life at the University of Birmingham, this event is split into two parts:

Postgraduate Coffee (10:30-12:00)

Postgraduate Coffee is a great opportunity for new postgraduate researchers to meet the University's support providers and receive advice on taking full advantage of their time as postgraduate researchers - all in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You will be able to meet members of staff from the following key departments: the University Graduate School, Student Support and Wellbeing, the Library, the Careers Network, Birmingham International Academy (BIA), International Students Advisory Service (ISAS), the Postgraduate Students Officer (The Guild of Students), Postgraduate and Mature Student Association and representatives from each College and ask them any questions that you may have.

Lunch will be provided (12:00-13:00)

Insider Secrets for postgraduate researchers (13:00-14:00)

If you are a new postgraduate researcher at the University of Birmingham, then this is a session not to be missed. The session aims to bring new and current postgraduate researchers together to share useful tips about postgraduate life at the University of Birmingham. Whether it is planning the first year of your research degree, learning about useful postgraduate activities on campus or managing your time, we will cover a wide variety of topics.
