Volunteers needed for research studies.

Study 1

We are using CANTAB, a computerized test, to study cognitive processes. This study involves coming in for one session that may last up to an hour and 15 minutes, but typically is complete within an hour. The first part will be used to collect participant information and answer questionnaires. The second part will consist of completing CANTAB tests. To volunteer in this study you will need to be an adult native English speaker, a non-smoker, and have a BMI of 30 or higher - see information on how to calculate your BMI. Payment is £10 for participation.

Location: Frankland Building (Edgbaston Campus), 4th floor, top of stairs.

Study 2: How we make decisions about food

Two part study with payment (£40 and travel expenses)

We are looking for participants to take part in this study. You will attend two sessions and complete simple computer tasks and questionnaires that help us to understand how people make decisions about portion sizes.

To be eligible to participate your BMI must be more than 30 - see information on how to calculate your BMI. For your help with this study we will be able to compensate you generously and cover any travel costs to the University. For more information please email Kim Verlaers on KXV276@bham.ac.uk.
