- Arts building, Whitting Room
- Arts and Law, Research
The Centre’s General Seminar normally meets in the Whitting Room (436), 4th floor, Arts Building on Thursdays at 5.15pm, unless otherwise stated and is open to all interested in the related concerns of the Centre for Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek Studies.
Students of the Centre lead the first of this series of the CBOMGS seminar.
The opening seminar is traditionally the Travellers' Tales, accounts of summer schools, excavations, journeys related by the students of the Centre. This year postgraduates will tell of their experiences at the Harvard Summer School in Greek Palaeography and Byzantine Greek in Athens, the Dumbarton Oaks Summer School in Sigillography and Numismatics, and excavations in Greece.
