Birmingham's location in the heart of England makes it easy to reach no matter where you're travelling from.  The venue for the conference is Millennium Point which was Birmingham's flagship millennium project to celebrate and encourage science, technology and education in Birmingham.

Arriving by Air

Birmingham Airport is just 5.5 miles south east of Birmingham city centre and is connected to Birmingham International Train Station by a free service operated by monorail.  Regular train services operate from here to Birmingham New Street, which is Birmingham's central station and just a 15 minute walk from the conference venue at Millennium Point.  

Arriving by Train

The Millennium Point venue can easily be accessed from Birmingham's main central New Street Station (15 minute walk) or from Moor Street (8 minute walk) or Snowhill (13 minute walk). The 3 stations make rail travel into the centre of Birmingham conveninent regardless of which route you're arriving on. 

Arriving by Car

Birmingham is well connected by the UKs extensive motorway network and there is ample parking at and around the Millennium Point Conference Venue.  If using sat nav please use the following postcode - B4 7AP.

There is plenty of car parking around Millennium Point at the nearby Parking NCP Multistory or at Millennium Point itself with charges typically between £3 and £7 per day.

Local Hotel Options

The 4 star MacDonald Burlington is a popular option at nearby New Street with rooms advertised from £59.50 per night.

The Premier Inn at New Street is also conveniently located for the main Birmingham New Street Railway Station and just a 15 to 20 minute walk on foot from the Millennium Point venue with rooms advertised from £39 per night.

Slightly more expensive but very close proximity to the Millennium Point, La Tour has also proven a popular stay for past visitors to the conference.

The Comfort Inn has rooms available from £54 per night at time of writing.

The Britannia Hotel  offers competitively priced rooms from £38 but at the time of writing rooms are £84 at the time of the conference.

The Travel Lodge on Moor Street is also very conveniently located both for the city centre and Millennium point and is currently offering rooms from £47 per night.

The Ibis located at the Arcadian Centre a short walk from New Street Station and not far from the Millennium Point venue is also offering rooms, currently from around £80 per night.
