Supervisors: Professor Kevin Kendall
Evan got his BSc degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Nation Changhua University of Education in Taiwan, 2007. After that, he came to the UK and graduated from University of Nottingham with a Master degree in Electrical Technology for Sustainable and Renewable Energy Systems in 2009 and started his PhD in December of the same year.
Evan’s PhD focuses on designing a control system for the Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) stack integrated with Combined Heat and Power (CHP). A well-designed controller allows the whole system to use the fuel more economically and reuse the exhaust heat and improve the overall efficiency.
