Dorothy Thompson, who taught History at the University of Birmingham from 1970 until 1987, died in January 2011. She wrote several books on Chartism and women’s history and was an active political campaigner. This event is a celebration of her life led by her former research students. It includes the showing of a TV documentary, which focuses on the lives of Dorothy Thompson and her husband, E.P. Thompson.
