The staff of CIER have a particular mission to promote the role of education in social, economic and political development, related particularly to the outcomes of equity, democracy, peace, social inclusion and sustainable growth. They conduct international research and consultancy around the core themes and lead international teaching programmes at Masters and undergraduate levels, and supervise doctoral students. At postgraduate level, students can undertake a course in International Studies in Education, with the possibility of specialising in Management and Policy, Citizenship or Intercultural Communication.
The Centre and the School as a whole welcome students and visitors from a wide range of countries each year, and like to keep in touch with their alumni. They also work with partners and institutions across the globe.
