About

Dr. Qiu joined the Centre for Higher Education Equity and Access (CHEEA) in May 2012, following working at the Centre for Research in Medical and Dental Education (CRMDE), and is currently working on a Nuffield project of labour market expectations, relative performance and subject choice.
 
Dr Qiu is an applied economist and her main research interests are in the areas of health economics, labour economics and economics of happiness. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Bath on May 2008. Before joining CRMDE, she worked at the National Centre for e-Social Science, a multidisciplinary research centre at the University of Manchester.
