  • 2012 – 2015: Synergising INTERnational Studies of Environmental Contamination with Organic FLAME Retardant Chemicals (INTERFLAME), Marie Curie IRSES (International Research Staff Exchange Scheme) project funded by the E.C. See return for Profoessor Stuart Harrad.
  • 01/11 - 12/14: INFLAME – Indoor Contamination with Flame Retardant Chemicals: Causes and Impacts. Marie Curie Initial Training Network funded by the EC. Harrad as Co-ordinator. 12 PhDs (2 at Birmingham) and 2 PDRFs. Amount awarded = €3,631,363 (€749,360 to CoLES, Birmingham, €488,137 to Harrad = £361,583 at €1.35:£1).
  • 05/08 - 04/13: Environmental Fate and Behaviour of POPs in UK Lakes. Part of “OPAL – The Open Air Laboratory”, funded by the Big Lottery Fund. Amount awarded = £83,700.
  • 10/07- 03/11: Exploring the Utility of Chiral Signatures to Further Understanding of Soil-to-Herbage Transfer of Persistent Organic Pollutants. NERC Open Competition Case studentship award co-sponsored by the Food Standards Agency. Amount awarded = £78,000. Contribution from CASE partner = £15,000
