Dr Kate Ince's research on female filmmakers

Kate Ince, Reader in French Film and Gender Studies, will be presenting two papers based on research carried out for her major project on French female film directors over the coming months.

She will talk on sexuality, subjectivity, and violence in the work of Claire Denis at the Edinburgh Film Seminar on 13 February, and at the third international conference of the Women's Film and Television History Network at University of East Anglia on 10-12 April.

Dr Ince also recently published an edited special issue of Studies in European Cinema on Women's Filmmaking in France in the 2000s.
