Dr Marion Danis will lead a HSMC seminar on the theme of Public Engagement in Health Care Priority Setting. Marion is Head of Ethics and Health Policy at the US National Institutes of Health and is coming to Birmingham in order to develop collaborative links with UK academics and policy makers.
In particular, she will provide a demonstration of the ‘CHAT’ tool (Choosing Health-plans All Together) that herself and colleagues have developed and applied in the United States. CHAT uses game methodology to give a voice to a range of citizen groups in health care priority setting.
Please let Helen Smart know if you would like to attend. There are a fixed number of places available and these will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
