SURVEILLE is an EU FP7 Research Project under the security call. The project aims to analyse the effectiveness of security and surveillance technology, and the ethical and legal issues raised by their use in serious crime and counter-technology operations.

The CSGE will provide an advisory service for the developers and users of surveillance technology.

SURVEILLE will run from February 2012 for three years, and will bring in £820k to the CSGE. The partners include the University of Delft and the University of Freiburg, and is co-ordinated by the EUI in Florence.
