Global Health Care Injustice: The Demands of the Basic Right to Health Care
Peter West-Oram is a PhD candidate doing research in the area of global health care injustice. His PhD focuses on rights to health care and the duties that such rights generate. He is also interested in the commodification of health care and the impacts of health policy on public health. He recently spent four months at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. as an AHRC funded Research Fellow. During this research fellowship he worked on issues relating to infectious disease and duties to protect from harm, and on the global nature of justice and bioethics.
