In November 2010 IEL Director Professor Martin Trybus addressed a German/British/American seminar for academics, lawyers, and procurement policy makers.

The seminar was held on the premises of the Ministry of Economy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Duesseldorf, Germany and organised by the Law Faculty of the Ruhr University of Bochum in cooperation with the George Washington University Law School and the United Kingdom Procurement Association, the two German procurement associations, and the government contracts section of the American Bar Association.

Professor Trybus' paper covered the new EU Defence Procurement Directive.
