IEL Director Professor Martin Trybus has been appointed to thejury for the award of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA) Thesis Prize.
Professor Trybus joined Professor Dagmar Schiek from the University of Leeds and Professor Manuel Bermejo Castrillo from the University Carlos III of Madrid in Spain on the jury for the award for 2013 under the supervision of Professor Laurence Gormley of the University of Groningen in The Netherlands.
The ELFA Thesis Prize is awarded for the second time, is worth 3.000€, and the winner or winners are invited to a ceremony in Strasbourg. Eligible are European postgraduate research students for work which has been accepted and approved by a law faculty as a doctoral thesis/Ph.D. thesis in 2012/2013, on the subject of European law including comparative law aspects. The thesis may be written in any of the languages of the ELFA statutes (English, German, French or Spanish).
