GBS accuracy and cost effectiveness of rapid diagnosis of Group-B streptococcus during labour

The University of Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit

GEM3 is a double blind placebo controlled trial of a combination of methotrexate and gefitinib versus methotrexate alone as a treatment for ectopic pregnancy.

Genetics and Development

This Research Domain encompasses studies on crucial aspects of the way in which the expression of the genome is correctly regulated, how genome integrity is maintained in the face of potential damage during replication or from environmental insults, and how errors in these processes can lead to disease. Research Themes include fundamental investigations on DNA replication, chromatin structure and its regulation, epigenetic regulation of gene expression, and the mechanisms of DNA damage and repair.

Geosystems research - School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences

Geosystems Research Group in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham. The Geosystems Research Group combines strong expertise in tectonics, palaeobiology, paleoclimatology, and palaeoenvironmental reconstruction.

Get involved with BIFoR

BIFoR are currently looking to recruit a team of committed volunteers. We are looking for people who can commit to volunteering over a long period of time with a regular weekly commitment of at least 2 hours a week or volunteering over a short period of time but for a good number of hours. This will be a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience and ideas for short-term projects/dissertation topics.

Glacial Activity In Neoproterozoic Svalbard - Geosystems

Homepage for the Glacial Activity In Neoproterozoic Svalbard (GAINS) project. The aim of this project is to develop a robust understanding of the nature of earth surface systems during extreme Neoproterozoic glaciations in NE Svalbard and to generate key data on the Cryogenian succession in the depositional basin to facilitate the choice of a global stratotype.

Glaucoma Research

Glaucoma Research, Neuroscience and Ophthalmology, Institute of Inflammation and Ageing
