GloMY is a national, multicentre, randomised controlled open-label pilot trial of Myfortic plus short course steroids versus standard care in patients with FSGS and IgAN. The aim of GloMY is to determine the feasibility of running a full-scale phase III randomised trial. It is managed by the BCTU at the University of Birmingham.

PREDNOS is a national multicentre randomised double blind trial of long-term tapering versus standard prednisolone (steroid) therapy for the treatment of the initial episode of childhood nephrotic syndrome. The aim of the trial is to compare the extended course tapering prednisolone regiman with the standard 8 week regimena and determine whether the extended course of prednisolone increases the time to first relapse in children presenting steroid sensitive nephrotic syndrome.

PREDNOS 2 is a national multicentre randomised double blind trial of short course daily prednisolone therapy at the time of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) in children with relapsing steroid sensitive nephrotic syndrome (SSNS). The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a six day course of daily prednisolone therapy at the time of URTI in reducing the development of subsequent nephrotic syndrome relapse in children with relapsing SSNS.
