Here is a list of all the research activity pages:
- Information for particpants on the Helicobacter eradication to prevent ulcer bleeding in aspirin users: a large simple randomised controlled (HEAT) trial at the University of Birmingham.
- The University of Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit. Plasma exchange and glucocorticoid dosing in the treatment of anti-neutrophil cytoplasm antibody associated vasculitis: an international randomised controlled trial. Multi-centre, international, open label, factorial design, randomized control trial in severe ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV).
- ASTRAL is a multicentre, randomized, unblinded clinical trial, comparing revascularisation in addition to medical therapy versus medical therapy alone in patients with atherosclerotic renovascular disease (ARVD). The aim of ASTRAL is to assess whether renal arterial revascularisation with balloon angioplasty and/or endovascular stenting can safely prevent progressive renal failure among patients with ARVD. ASTRAL closed to recruitment in October 2007 having recruited 806 patients, and is now in long term follow up until 2017. The trial is managed by the BCTU at the University of Birmingham.
- GloMY is a national, multicentre, randomised controlled open-label pilot trial of Myfortic plus short course steroids versus standard care in patients with FSGS and IgAN. The aim of GloMY is to determine the feasibility of running a full-scale phase III randomised trial. It is managed by the BCTU at the University of Birmingham.
