Early Career Researcher Support

The Institute of Inflammation and Ageing has established a set of resources designed to support the career development of our Early Career Researchers.

These are tailored to the following groups:

  • PhD students preparing to embark on their postdoctoral training 
    • Foundation fellowships (usually open to PhD students in their final year, or within one year of PhD completion)
  • Postdoctoral researchers looking to secure independent funding
    • Intermediate, Career Development, Senior Research Fellowships
    • Return to research / career break fellowships
    • Travelling fellowship to visit external labs
    • Travel awards for attending conferences
  • Clinicians interested in academic medicine (currently working in the NHS / European Union)
