The research areas under investigation include the synthesis, processing, fabrication and characterisation of functional and structural ceramic materials, components and devices.
The research groups, comprising approximately 30 staff, research workers and students, work on a range of fundamental and industrial projects
For more details of the members and activities of the individual groups please click on the links below:
- Ceramics Forming Group - interested in the prediction of pressure drops in the flow of pastes. The focus of the research has changed with more emphasis being placed on the development of structured and functional materials and products.
- Functional Materials Group - working on a wide range of materials including piezoelectrics, dielectrics, ferroelectrics and high temperature superconductors.
