Welcome to two new members of staff at ITSEE!
Dr Dr Christina Kreinecker has joined ITSEE as a full-time Research Fellow working on the ERC-funded COMPAUL project. With doctorates in theology and philology, she has contributed to a new edition of the Sahidic Coptic version of the Gospel according to John and worked on the Papyrological Commentaries on the New Testament. Her publications include monographs on the Coptic Version of the Resurrection narratives and on the social, linguistic and historical background to 2 Thessalonians as provided by documentary papyri. She is also interested in the contemporary reception of the biblical message and its transmission.
Dr Catherine Smith returns to Birmingham as Technical Officer for the COMPAUL project. After being awarded her doctorate at Birmingham on a corpus-linguistic analysis of New Testament pericopae and further study in the School of Computer Science, she has worked on projects involving databases, archives and software for electronic text analysis at the Universities of Liverpool and Nottingham. Following her earlier contribution to the electronic edition of the Byzantine Text of John, we are glad that Catherine has chosen to return to ITSEE.
