The 2013-14 academic year sees the launch of a new CEPLER lecture series called Perspectives on Public Law. The purpose of this new series is to invite those involved in the practice of public law—broadly defined—to speak to students and staff at Birmingham Law School.
The first lecture will be given by David Lock QC on Wednesday 6th November (6pm). David Lock is Head of the Administrative & Public Law Group at No.5 Chambers and was MP for Wyre Forest from 1997-2001, during which time he served as PPS to the Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine. Reflecting his experience of both the legal and political worlds, David Lock will speak on “Law, Politics and Public Law”.
