Improvements in human health are at the heart of the College's research strategy.
The College recognises the importance of a truly translational pipeline, delivering cutting edge clinical trials and patient studies, underpinned by cell and molecular biology research on both model organisms and humans that is embedded in an environment in which fundamental findings are equally valued for their contribution to knowledge.
To enable and enhance this integration between basic and clinical science, and also to encourage cross-fertilisation between diverse academic disciplines which have common areas of interest, the College has established a number of Centres of excellence.
