Public Health Ethics is a theme on which many MESH members’ research interests converge. Members of MESH are interested in the ethical issues that arise in relation to infectious disease, chronic disease related to so-called ‘lifestyle’ choices, issues relating to risk, mental health as a public health issue, issues relating to emergencies and disasters, assisted technologies, and the philosophical foundations of public health ethics. MESH has strong international links in this area, particularly with India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Canada and the US.
