This multidisciplinary research group was founded in 2006 by Jon Deeks, Chair in Health Statistics in the Department of Public Health, Epidemiology & Biostatistics.

The group organises or is affiliated with a number of research events, all of which promote understanding and knowledge of diagnostic research, and/or medical statistics.

The 3rd International Symposium for Methods for Evaluating Medical Tests and Biomarkers took place at The University of Birmingham on 15th and 16th July 2013.  Oral presentations and available to view here
