The Department of Medicine, Solna, is one of the largest departments at Karolinska Institutet. The department consists of several units that are separated into different research groups. This PhD position is within the ‘RAPID’ project, which is funded by an EU FP7 Marie Curie ITN grant. RAPID aims to provide a significant contribution to the understanding of the pathological processes that trigger initiation and progression of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and chronic periodontitis, by establishing a first class, dynamic training programme for early career researchers who will be able to advance both fields by working across sectors and disciplines.
