How to find us

The Primary Care Clinical Sciences building is also known as the Learning Centre and we are building number R28 on the University campus map

PC-CRTU occupies the first and second floors, and the stairs up can be found on the right-hand side, near the entrance doors.

Climb the stairs to the first floor, where you will find a notice board with the telephone numbers for all PC-CRTU staff members.

Please find the number of the person you wish to see, and use the telephone provided to call them, so they can let you into the keycard-secured doors.

The Surrounding Area

The University Clock Tower is visible for quite a distance from the Department, and is a useful landmark to look out for.

Please be aware that parking spaces are limited on and around the University campus. Therefore, available spaces may be a long walk away from the building. If you are ever in doubt as to how to reach the Department from surrounding areas, you can always follow signs to the University train station as we are two minutes walk from there.

Travelling by Train

From Birmingham New Street Station the southbound local trains run to University station every ten minutes, with a final destination of Redditch or Longbridge. University station is the next station after Five Ways Station. Alight at University Station and make your way to the ticket hall. Upon exiting the station, turn left and walk a short distance towards campus. In front of you can be seen a very large statue of an iron man (actually Faraday), cross the road, keeping the statue on your right and the Department is the red brick and glass building on your left.

Parking

There are pay-and-display car parks around campus for visitors to use, the cost is £1.00 per day. The closest one to the Department looks like old tennis courts. It is on Vincent Drive, on the same side as the Blood Transfusion Centre. Once parked, leave the car park the way you went in and turn left. This will take you to the Vincent Drive roundabout. To the left is the University train station. Walk past the station, and in front of you can be seen a large iron statue (of Faraday).
