The University of Birmingham has exceptional facilities for metabolomics research, including in mass spectrometry, NMR spectroscopy and high performance computing.

While these facilities are accessible locally by doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and academic staff, in several cases they also serve as national and international facilities for both academic and industrial research and service.

  1. Biosciences Metabolomics Facility
  2. NERC Biomolecular Analysis Facility (NBAF) for environmental metabolomics
  3. Advanced Mass Spectrometry Facility
  4. Henry Wellcome Building for Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopy
  5. High Performance Computing Cluster in the Centre for Systems Biology
  6. BlueBEAR Computing Cluster
