This page shows some results of oxidation-driven solute depletion simulations obtained using the Group's ODIN software (see publications page for reference). Al depletion at the edge of a FeCrAlY sample after 0.1 hours at 1200ºC. Al depletion at the re-entrant edge of a FeCrAlY sample after 0.1 hours at 1200ºC. Al concentration in the corner of a 50-micron MCrAlY overlay coating after 5 hours at 1100ºC. Al depletion around cooling holes through NiCrAl after 1000 hours at 1200ºC (hole separation is approximately 420 microns). Al concentration in and around a 2D protuberance on a 100-micron MCrAlY coating after 1 hour of oxidation at 1100ºC.
