Comparing Islamophobia in Britain and Ireland

Chris Allen was at the University of Limerick, Ireland last week. Attending an event titled “Understanding Emotions in Society”, Chris was invited by Amanda Haynes from the University’s Sociology department to speak about his research into Islamophobia in the UK as a means of comparing it with similar research being undertaken by James Carr in the Irish setting.

For the future, Chris is looking to explore better working relationships with Limerick given its firm commitment to research into Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hatred more widely.
