This year’s Directed Assembly Network Bio-inspired and Biomimetic Assembly Theme meeting, “What can Bioinspiration and Biomimicry deliver?”, will be held at the University of Birmingham on 4th & 5th September 2014. 

We have assembled an exciting programme of invited talks including:

  • To boldly go....: new protein structures and assemblies by design Prof Dek Woolfson, Bristol
  • Guiding the folding pathway of DNA origami Dr Jonathan Bath, Oxford
  • Using a virus to catch a pathogen Prof Tim Dafforn, Birmingham
  • Binders behaving badly – promiscuity in solution Dr Niek Buurma, Cardiff
  • Proteomimetics – new tools for chemical biology Dr Andrew Jamieson, Leicester

There will also be invited talks from Sarah Staniland (Sheffield), Eimer Tuite (Newcastle), Max Ryadnov (NPL) and James Tucker (Birmingham)
