Radiotherapy between or during chemotherapy cycles reduces risk of breast cancer recurrence
Description
A major UK trial led by the University has produced firm evidence that giving radiotherapy between or during chemotherapy cycles to women with early breast cancer significantly reduces the risk of the cancer recurring in the breast or chest wall. The treatment, known as synchronous chemoradiation, has minimal adverse side-effects and no detrimental effect on the patients' quality of life.

Research explains why people get drunk at the office party
Description
Getting drunk at the office party and behaving in an inappropriate way may be down to the fact that drinking alcohol in an unfamiliar environment can lead to an inability to reign in unsuitable behaviour, according to research by psychologists at the University of Birmingham published online in the journal Alcohol and Alcoholism.
