NAMA Conference
Aston University Conference Centre B4 7ET
15th March 2013
2.30pm - 3.15pm
NAMA (the National Association of Mathematics Advisers) is holding their annual conference in Birmingham and has invited STEMNET to run a workshop where delegates can meet STEM Ambassadors and find out how they use maths in their work. This is a great opportunity for us to inform these advisers so that they will encourage schools to request STEM Ambassador support to enrich the maths curriculum. We are looking for a number of STEM Ambassadors from a range of sectors who can explain to the advisers how they use maths in their work. You may be in a directly maths-related role or you may be working in engineering, science, technology or any other area where you use maths in some way. The workshop will be informal, probably organised as a speed networking session. The workshop will be organised by Cathy Brown, Regional Networks Manager, STEMNET (Cathy.Brown@stemnet.org.uk)who will be happy to discuss this opportunity with you if you would like further information.
