Cherry Orchard Primary School are running two events during National Science and Engineering Week, and would be grateful if ambassadors would be able to come along and help support the activities:
• Judging of school wide ‘Inventions’ competition. The announcement of winners to be made during assembly, if the ambassador was happy to attend at this time.
• Session with Year 5 & 6 where ambassadors will talk about their career in Science. This could be in the form of a presentation, followed by a question and answer session.
The sessions will run on one or two of these days during this week, depending on the availability of ambassadors. The school would also be interested to know If there is potential for upper Key Stage 2 children (aged 9-11) to visit an ambassador at their place of work during this week. This would be a great opportunity for the pupils to see how companies work and what is involved. Again, times are flexible depending on the availability of the ambassador.
