Professor Robin May, Lister Fellow and Professor of Infectious Disease at the School of Biosciences, has been appointed as a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award holder. The Royal Society is the UK's national academy of science.

New paper on regulation of neuronal genes
Description
A new paper from the Soller lab published in Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) shows that neuronally co-expressed ELAV/Hu proteins have distinct functions in vivo in Drosophila, but that they can share targets even with related Sex-lethal depending on concentration and localization.
