Robert Evans studied Cancer Biology and Immunology at the University of Bristol before moving to Birmingham University to pursue an MRes in Molecular and Cellular Biology. During his masters he began work with his two PhD co supervisors Prof. Robin May and Dr Andrew Lovering. His current BBSRC funded PhD project is concerned with the role of the virulence factor Phospholipase B during Cryptococcus neoformans infection of macrophages.
