I test how alternative splicing is regulated in the hypervariable immune receptor Dscam (Down Syndrome Cell Adhesion Molecule) in fruitfly Drosophila Melanogaster.
Pinar Ustaoglu received a master’s degree in ‘Developmental Cell Biology” from the University of Sussex. Pinar Whilst at Sussex, she developed an interest in the regulation of RNA processing and she applied for a PhD at the University of Birmingham. Now she does a research in RNA splicing.
