Birmingham Business School has been a major player in business education for more than a century. We have an extensive worldwide reach, with many international students studying at the University of Birmingham campus and Alumni in countries all across the world.
With a population of more than 28,000 students including 4,000 international students from over 150 countries, Birmingham is one of the largest international student communities in the UK. We support International Students by familiarising them with the UK educational system and helping them to develop their academic English.
We are also part of a number of research and teaching partnerships with countries such as Singapore, Russia and the United Arab Emirates and are proud of our extensive links with universities and other strategic partners throughout the world.

Birmingham Business School offers a number of scholarships for international students on our MSc Business programmes. Simon Evans Scholarships are also available for EU students on any of the MSc Marketing programmes.

Birmingham Business School has invested £5 million in our Career Network services providing dedicated support for our undergraduate students. This investment has included our award winning internship scheme. The scheme provides short term internships for our students worldwide. We are ranked by the International Herald Tribune Global Employability Rankings and we are one of the leading UK universities most frequently selected by global employers. This illustrates our commitment to developing your skills, making you employable in a competitive job market.
We also provide a dedicated careers service exclusively for postgraduate students at Birmingham Business School, covering areas including; Career Development Advice, Career Coaching, Employer Liaison and Leadership Development.
Finding the right employment post qualification will clearly be an important objective and our primary aim is to help and support you with this.
We teach and research in all the major business subject areas. As well as contributing to academic debate worldwide, our faculty are consulted by the media, industry and Government on a range of issues.
Our programmes currently include students from over 60 countries. The School already has strong links with a number of international institutions including the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and Hong Kong School of Professional Education and Executive Development and is working in close collaboration with the University’s Guangzhou Centre – a unique facility established with the Guangzhou municipality to facilitate joint research and education initiatives in Guangzhou and the wider region. In addition, our MBA is taught in Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as Birmingham.
