Global Value Chain Research Cluster launch event

The Global Value Chain Research Cluster recently held a launch event with a variety of academics attending from across the whole of the University.

The launch included a brief introduction by the Director of the Cluster, Dr Lisa De Propris and featured academics associated with the cluster giving a sampler of their research expertise.

The mixed audience from across the whole University including colleagues from Geography, Engineering, Social Policy and Political Sciences.

During the event, there were a number of guest speakers including:

  • Dr. Pamela Robinson "Responsible and Sustainable Business"
  • Dr. Victoria Hanna "Operational impact of global sourcing on UK Small Firms"
  • Dr. Joe Sanderson "Lessons for the NHS from the literature on procurement and supply chain management"
  • Dr. Paulina Ramirez "What can GVC research tell us about global knowledge flows"
