The Global Value Chain Research Cluster recently held a launch event with a variety of academics attending from across the whole of the University.
The launch included a brief introduction by the Director of the Cluster, Dr Lisa De Propris and featured academics associated with the cluster giving a sampler of their research expertise.
The mixed audience from across the whole University including colleagues from Geography, Engineering, Social Policy and Political Sciences.
Academics discuss the issues of global value chains.
During the event, there were a number of guest speakers including:

Dr. Victoria Hanna "Operational impact of global sourcing on UK Small Firms"
Dr. Joe Sanderson "Lessons for the NHS from the literature on procurement and supply chain management"
Dr. Paulina Ramirez "What can GVC research tell us about global knowledge flows"
