About

Mary joined the Business School in January 2005 – previously she was senior research fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research in London, where she remains a Visiting Fellow. She is coordinator of two projects financed by the EC 7th framework program, INDICSER (www.indicser.com) and SERVICEGAP (www.servicegap.org) which are concerned with measuring and evaluating performance in the services sectors. She is also a Public Services Fellow of the ESRC funded AIM programme.

Research

International comparisons of output, productivity, capital and labour force skills;  the impact of information and communications technology on economic growth and productivity; determinants of the demand for skilled labour; measuring and explaining performance in public service provision, including health and education.
