About

Andy Hodder joined Birmingham Business School in September 2012 after completing a PhD at Keele University. Andy’s PhD looked at the method of trade union organising within the Public and Commercial Services union (PCS). The research reviewed the extent to which the PCS has adopted the organising agenda and evaluates its impact on membership and levels of activism, during a period of civil service modernization. The research was jointly funded by Keele University and the PCS.

Teaching

A range of UG and PG modules within the Business School. Modules taught on include: The Firm and Business Environment (level one); Human Resource Management (level two); Advanced Business Economics (level three); Change Management (M level); Contemporary Issues in Work, Employment and People Management (M level); Human Resource Management (M level); International Perspectives in Industrial Relations (M level); Researching Work, Employment and Employee Relations (M level); Training and Development (M level).
