The Department of Marketing were delighted to welcome highly acclaimed academic Professor George Day to Birmingham Business School to deliver a guest lecture based on his prize winning book ‘Strategy From The Outside In’: “An enduring question for strategy is why some companies consistently outperform their rivals, and why others lose their way. Our answer is that market leaders drive their strategy from the outside in”.
George S. Day is the Geoffrey T. Boisi Professor, Professor of Marketing and co-Director of the Mack Center for Technological Innovation at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has previously taught at Stanford University, IMD (International Management Development Institute) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the University of Toronto, and has held visiting appointments at MIT, Harvard Business School and London Business School.
The lecture was delivered as part of our Cogent Elliott Masterclass Lecture Series.
