Early this month, a Birmingham Business School academic's research discussed how sharing photographs on Facebook could damage relationships with friends, family and colleagues.
Dr David Houghton, a lecturer in marketing at Birmingham Business School and lead author of the report, conducted the study with academics from the University of the West of England, the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University and formed part of the Birmingham Business School Discussion Paper Series.
The research received a large amount of media and press coverage, featuring in Time magazine, New York Daily News, the Economic Times, Yahoo! News and The Telegraph amongst others and also a range of international media including Times of India, Bemparana Brazil, Agence France Presse, Australian Broadcasting Service and Channel News Asia.
To complement the written report, an accompanying podcast has been produced in which David discusses the research and how the findings have implications in both a personal and business sense.
